Actually not. The pic linked to above was of Adlai Stevenson in the 1952 election. It was a big talking point back then. Look at him go! He's so focused on the job that he doesn't even realize he's got a hole in his shoe. Of course I'm betting Adlai was all the way through the leather and not just his topy - and I'm betting Obama's got a better shine on his judging by the shoes on the guy Stevenson's sitting next to.
