What's the price range on these? My brief Googlefu didn't turn that info up. I rather like the highback without the wings and the lowback models.

I don't think so. I recently posted Gracie sitting on the marble pedestal and that's probably enough.

What color?

The chair is as pictured. The surrounding colours include browns and reds with some black accents also in the room.

Have no idea what your place looks like. Below are some ideas that I think work well in many different contexts. For side tables, I tend to like stools that can function as both. We're currently using the Jasper Morrison cork stool with our lounge chair--it is fantastically adaptive and looks great.

Jasper Morrison cork stool (Vitra)

Jasper Morrison Pon side table (Fredericia)

Alvar Aalto stool (Artek)

Eames wire base table (Herman Miller)

Jean Louis Iratzoki Petra side table (Retegui)

Bourollec metal side table (Vitra)

Osgerby Mini-Bottle side table (Cappellini)

Cappellini Bong side table (Cappellini)

Charlotte Perriand Tabouret stools (Cassina)

Kieran Kinsella stump stools (Kieran Kinsella)

The low-back is $5,700 retail, COM. Fabric upholstered versions are ~$6-7,000. Leather options are ~$7-8,500.

I'm sure I forgot to post my recent blog post here;

I do ruminate on design in the post.

Ikea sells a knock off of this design that you see all over the place. I'd be inclined to go with something that might feel a little more special.

I like the Cappellini Bong and I like the Jasper Morrison Pon. Surprisingly they're both in the ballpark for what I was looking to spend too.

Cappellini Bong might be too matchy-matchy but slightly different in a bad way with the lamp, no?

It's all fiberglass and there's different finishes.

The ubiquity of the design is one of its virtues. Sometimes you just want your stool to look like a stool. Not everything needs to be "luxury."
