Have look at the smaller auction houses/sites a lot of times stuff goes for pennies there, as people either don't know what they have or lack of buyers.
Since 'MCM' now encompasses everything from the Bauhaus on through contemporary work, it's hard to actually be a genuine fan of anything without getting roped into the MCM fanboy club.
However, if you like stuff that is not part of that, you're in luck as you can nearly take your pick and buy it for cheap.
Price does not weigh into my consideration of wether or not I like something, it only weighs into wether or not I buy that something
I'm almost sure 99.9999% of people have no idea with modernism/modern/mcm is and most of the time I hear it used, it's used incorrectly. (Pet peeve of mine).
The price is only important if it doesn't match the quality of the product.
Congrats with the kid on the way. I would probably go with a pendant instead, just so the kid won't tip it over or run into it.
With that said 100% the last one.
