Cool furniture, design objects and desiderata - Page 111

I have been on the hunt for a leather chair to put in the corner of my bedroom. Have been taken with the idea of a modern riff on a leather club chair. Saw this on Instagram and really liked it. Anyone know where to source a chair like this?

I would also welcome any other ideas, for reference, here is the corner in question, as well as a picture of the rug and bed currently in the room (ignore the poorly made bed). Trying to stay under a couple thousand.

I saw a few chairs today at ABC home that I liked but I dont think are quite right for the space:

Color is too light:

Possibly too sleek:

Too hefty and frumpy:

Wing chair.

Most of the wing chairs I have seen do not appeal to me but I am willing to be convinced otherwise.

have you considered a stealthy recliner?

I am guessing you could be a Restoration Hardware kind-a-guy.

I assume SG specificaly refer to Wegner's Wing Chair, though I may of course be wrong

Andrew Martin has some nice unique styles, the drake seems to fit your style but I think it may be closer to 3k

The Lancelot is in your price range.

Or something like this.

Lot of options if you customize and 5-week delivery on custom orders isn't bad at all.

The Abbott is the R&B chair that I am most intrigued by. I think it could be interesting in the smoke color. My only reservation (having seen the chair in person) is that it feels a little bland in person, the leather is kind of lifeless.

Have not heard of Andrew Martin before, will check it out. These particular chairs look a little too thick for my taste.

Appreciate the input. Not usually into recliners but this one is minimalist enough that it makes me reconsider a bit.

Out of curiousity, what do you guys think of this chair from ABC? It is a little pricey but I have been intrigued by it:

Was thinking more along the lines of the Poltrona Frau wing chair or a chair in that style. It's really the best kind of chair for a fireplace setting since the headrest and wings help to keep the warmth behind your neck and shoulders. Which is usually sought after on any occasion that would call for a fire.

And really, rather then shove one in the corner, a pair of them should be in front of the fireplace facing each other across a small table.

I love the wegner Wing chair, but it certainly is a departure from axel's style.

I only suggested it because I saw it at the room and board outlet and sat in it without even realizing it was a recliner. First recliner I ever saw that I would be cool with owning (there is also a similar model with leather arms instead of wood)

Liking this surfboard table. So I think I may building a surfboard style table for my lounge in the basement. It will be very useful for cigars, humidor, couple cigar ashtrays jeraboam lighter and drinks could all fit without crowding.

Unusual piece. Looks very similar to the Eames wire base low elliptical table but with a Danish take on things. Early 70´s I´d say. Needs a bit of care but a lovely piece all the same. Its a centre piece but I´d love to know what you intend putting around it.
