if you find someone who works for the museum, you can get it for like 75% off. Almost had my friend buy me a coffee table.

Interesting to see what Raf Simons lives in.

Not at all what I would have predicted. It works for him.

I like the idea of filling it with art/created objects, although his taste is not mine.

The place has some nice features, but the ceilings are probably a bit too low for the depth of the space. It's hard to say for sure, but it doesn't look like that light makes it to the back of the rooms very well.

yes or no?

if you're opening an ultralounge, yes.

if you're decorating your home, no.

I actually have these. I use them as nightstands for my bed. They are a lot more subtle than you might think, and hidden in amongst other less overtly modern/super modern pieces they can work. It all depends on context though.

if I had those as nightstands, I'd definitely be going 'bow chicka bow bow' during all waking hours spent in my bedroom icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

My wife bought these - I sent them back.  If they were made of a higher end lucite I might have kept them.  Didn't love the moulded plastic.

But if I was 20 and single I would have them.

Needed somewhere to express my excitement:

I ORDERED MY EAMES CHAIR!!! (reproduction*, but still)

^It will forever be on my list until I buy one.

Where did you order it from? Was it an Eames dealer?

Sadly no, as it's not an actual Eames chair. I cannot justify the price for an Eames chair right now and will instead settle for a well-made reproduction (as much as I don't want to).

I ordered it from a company based out of Vancouver that does reproductions of many famous furniture pieces. It seems like the owner, of Rove Concepts, is proud of his products and passionate about furniture. He shows on his website (Compare Us) why he thinks his reproductions are better than others. I'm taking a chance ordering sight unseen, but it's worth the risk to me. I love these chairs.

edit: compare link fixed

I'd be interested in how it compares when you receive it. I thought the Eames chair was the most comfortable chair i've ever sat on...

I'll be sure to post a follow-up here when I receive it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have it before Christmas so I can sit back by the fire and enjoy a nice glass of scotch in it biggrin.gif.
