in case you were unsure, it's a picture of the scoreboard at the stadio olimpico di roma.

My old roommate is a Roma fan, and Inter is my second favorite team (behind Arsenal). We used to have epic battles on FIFA and Pro Evo, and I'll certainly be giving him as much shit as possible about this result.

Your cruelty knows no bounds.

Glad I missed the game. We are suffering through a truly abysmal start this year...

I realize that I'm bumping this by posting (when I would like it to disappear forever), but did anyone watch the game? Was it an Old Trafford-like annilhilation? Some accounts have Roma putting forth a decent effort. Clearly Mexes was missed and our defence continues to wobble. Sounds like Stanko's goal was unstoppable, but that we had our chances. How was Totti's preformance? I assume he didn't play 90....

Yes, Mexes was missed. The defence was completely outclassed. Roma did carve out a few opportunities but their finishing was woeful. Mostly they just ran out of ideas and couldn't come up with a final pass. Lots of long-range shots (Totti, De Rossi). Vucinic was totally out of it.

I'd say it was more a case of Roma imploding than of Inter running riot. Mentally they checked out and those goals early in the second half came like a flood.

At least that's what I remember. I've tried to block it out of my mind, honestly.

Totti was alright. He showed initiative and had some nice work. He put Perrotta through for a goal with a gorgeous chip that was (rightly) called back for offsides; it was still 0-1 at the time.

No, he did not play the full 90.

I think Mirko is often totally out of it.....
