Yes, fragrance shopping is rather daunting... that's why I don't like doing it except through samples or decants swapped/ordered through friends or online that then might turn into a full-bottle purchase. And, typical fragrance sales associates don't know anything except what their sales cards tell them; they want you to buy the fragrance that will make the most $$$ for them... not the one that "fits" with you best. These threads here are good places to get started, as we can help you find a few in the different "categories" to help you zero-in on what you might like. And, finally, never trust a woman's nose. (haha)
