So today's "new thing" is a big departure from yesterday's. Today I was thinking about the vast underground spaces that exist under almost every major and most minor cities. Steam, bus, subway, power, drainage, and other kinds of tunnels, maintenance and storage areas, bomb shelters, abandoned basements, miles of city blocks that were regraded or covered.... There are some really interesting stories and facts out there. There are people who explore these man-made caves out of fun and curiosity. There are people who live in them out of necessity, preference, or... habit?
