It's not. The current model doesn't meet US crash safety standards.

They do say they are looking at the next version for over here- a few years off. The estimates I've seen would put this in the mid-$30's.

Nice interior, but I'm not a fan of the exterior.

Interior is great but the exterior is completely hideous

This was on display this week at a FIAT subsidiary co. in which I work: exterior looks great; interior looks cheap up close.

looks very Italian but not neccesarily in a good way.

I like it, but if it's really mid $30k price range, there's probably at least a half-dozen cars I would rather spend my own money on.

The FIAT group employees' discount car purchase scheme. They typically get between 10% and 20% off.[url="http://www.centrovenditedipendenti.it[/URL]

I really prefer the GT & Brera they both have more flair imho. GT Brera To bad they both now have a GM sourced v6. And no longer use inhouse engines

The grille designs for all of these are hideous.

+1 Just about every other car out there looks the same these days. I applaud Alfa for evolving their classic image.

+1 on grill. Quite distinctive in today's market.

That grille IS alpha. it just wouldn't be an alpha without it. I love the MiTo and if they bring the next one here I'll buy it.

When I first started reading about it, they were talking about bringing it stateside and its target was said to be squarely set on the Mini Cooper S.

I would say it'd have to be in the high 20k range to make a real dent, though a case could certainly be made for it in the 30k+ market as well. It would be selling against cars like the R32 and the A3 and the Aplha has them on style hands down. performance will be the hard sell.
