Yes these guys are totally legit. They shipped my shoes a couple days after ordering, sent FEDEX tracking # and were available on the phone

I wanted to get the cordovan high boots, but am unsure of the sizing on that particulat last. Has anyone got these yet?

I got the monk strap, high boot, and captoe blucher, all in #8. Pics to come tonight. I'm not an Alden expert but I feel like they all fit true to size. I wear 9.5 in all of them. I was hoping the high boots ran smallish since I got a 10 but they don't. They are a tad loose but still wearable. The only pair of Aldens which fit really off was a pair of loafers the SF store was trying to unload on me, they ran huge, at least 1 size large. I don't remember what last they were on. Also, I have never tried on their longwings, which I also heard ran large.

Just bought a pair of the #8 chukkas from Teamshoes to keep my #8 high boots (shoe lace holes, not speed lacers at the top) company. The thing is to make sure that you get the sole that you want, some of the boots are double-soled, others are part rubber part leather.

I look forward to seeing the pics Tarmac. I'm on the fence about both the chukka and the high boot. Never tried on a pair of Aldens before so I'm hesitant on sizing.

The shell longwings feel large when you first try on a brand new pair. Same with the chukka. It is my experience that the huge, stiff double sole really needs to break in before they feel right in the heel.

My first Aldens were longwings bought online from Adam at Alden of Carmel. I bought them true to size. When they arrived, I thought I blew it because of the noticeable heel slippage. Adam assured me that in a few weeks they would break in and feel natural. He was correct.

well, here they are pretty much exactly as I expected. If I had to guess, they look like somewhat old stock, possibly a couple of years old. Some of them have some brass green gunk and cordovan white wax residue which is wipe clean in a couple of minutes. Other than that they are 100% top notch. Only one pair included bags, which I'm pretty sure all Aldens come with so you are taking a gamble there. The rest look like they were possibly looked over but certainly never worn, they each have the box, paper, plastic bags, etc. Nothing was laced, I laced them myself. No outsole marks of any kind.
