Pebble Grain Shell Cordovan???

Yep. Pretty cool imo. Alden made some boots for Alden of Carmel in pebble grain shell. I posted a pair on the shoe Appreciation thread.

I enjoy mine. I bought the high boot last winter from Adam and bought a longwing and a chukka from Ron. I'm anxious to see how well they age, especially the plain toe chukka.

I you are into shell cordovan like I am, this is a find. If not, it's like any other dead skin.

Are you sure they are NOS from the 6os? Could they by any chance be more recent Allen Edmonds? Because AE occassionally makes pebble grain calf shoes as special orders which have their "shell cordovan"- marked sole. As far as I have seen, pebble grain shell, which does exist, is a more recent concoction.
