Pebble Grain Shell Cordovan???

I was looking at a pair of NOS shoes from the 60's that are pebble grain. On the sole it say genuine shell cordovan. Is there such thing as pebble grain shell cordovan?Originally Posted by rebel222

Is pebble grain shell cordovan just shell cordovan that has been pressed with the pebble grain pattern?

Are you sure they are NOS from the 6os? Could they by any chance be more recent Allen Edmonds? Because AE occassionally makes pebble grain calf shoes as special orders which have their "shell cordovan"- marked sole. As far as I have seen, pebble grain shell, which does exist, is a more recent concoction.
