We were eating like bigtimers tonight. We went in to get the 5 course menu. Ordered, and lo and behold, Chef starts to hook us up immediately. We got these things on the house:
Steamed bok choy, honshimeji, watermelon radish, matsutake broth
Black truffle shaved over her black truffle pot pie AND my red wine risotto
Wagyu Strip Loin w/ Leeks, Japanese Squash, and oxtail-umeshu consomme
Lamb roulade with cannelloni and parsnip puree
Meyer Lemon bar and "Cappuccino"
Apple Crisp, mulled cider, and creme fraiche gelato.
And we got free wine pairings (look for update in wine threak). It was fucking INSANE. Delicious meal. And Lish's first ever Michelin meal. She's always understood and supported my being out here, but I think now that she's eaten here she really "gets" why I've chosen to do this and why I love it so much.
