Is that Branston Pickle on the left?! I love the stuff, but it seems like a strange accompaniment to christmas dinner...

Mussels steamed in white wine, shallots and cilantro, on pasta. Some pulled-pork I made with my slow-cooker.

Two nights ago I made tarragon chicken breasts per Ad Hoc at Home (gift from my wife). Served with roasted brussel sprouts and crusty bread. Homemade coconut cake (courtesy the very same wife).

Last night I chopped up the leftover chicken, made chicken salad, and ate on toasted potato bread with a spinach salad on the side. Then more cake

Street vendor tamarind crab. Supposedly the place we were taken is 'the best in town'...personally, I thought it was a pretty ordinary take on one of my favorite local foods. There is a fine dining restaurant called An Vien that serves the same dish prepared so well that it is unfair to expect other food to sit on the same table as it...and in fine dining local food vs street food arguments, I tend to err on the side of street food generally, but last night...nuh uh. Anyhow, even mediocre tamarind crab is a pretty damn good meal.
