Thought a chilly fall day would be good for some homemade chowder.

Saag Panner with basmati rice, lime pickles, cucumber and garlic raita and papadums.

Followed by Maggie Beer's burnt fig, honeycomb and caramel ice cream.

Looks tasty. What all do you have in it?

2 nights this week I just roasted some veggies for dinner. Roasted brussel sprouts a couple nights ago and again tonight along with some cauliflower. The wife made the kids mini meatballs that I threw the leftovers on top of the cauliflower. Mmmm.

Also, these came this week.

It was sort of slap-dash but damn was it tasty. Sweated some diced onion, carrot, celery, cauliflower with half a chub of Jimmy Dean sage breakfast sausage (nod to SR.) Sliced up some spuds and microwaved for several minutes until soft. Base was a few ounces of heavy cream sitting in the fridge, some whole milk, and a quart of chicken stalk. S&P to taste, crumbled in some bacon I cooked in the oven, and simmered 20 minutes after adding a flour/water slurry to thicken it a bit. I was thinking of shredding some cheese to add at serving but I am feeling lazy today.

Anyone planning on going to Noma Mexico? I'm strongly considering it.
