Nice bread, good butter and Maison Papillon's Terrine de Canard au Foie Gras & Terrine de Canard aux Cèpes. And some kohlrabi, raw. Bread, butter, honey for dessert.

Many thanks to whomever recommended the Hazan simple tomato sauce. Made it last night, and it's quite tasty.

I made shakshuka from plenty. Waited too long too eat it and the egg set too much. Still pretty good although pretty ugly

One of last night's passed hors d'oeuvres was a sun choke soup set up shooter style with toasted almonds and/or pine nuts (I think). Best soup I've had in some time. I found out TK shared the recipe with the chef when he was there cooking a few weeks ago. One of the courses was a seared scallop with shaved black truffles, another TK recipe apparently.

"TK shared the recipe with me!" = "I Googled 'Thomas Keller sunchoke soup recipe.'"
