i'm certain my sandwich was more enjoyable and less fussy.

No, the sandwich looked great. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it. It was just the bite marks I found vulgar.

you try posting a picture of a full sandwich from Num Pang.

And as much as I love truffles and eggs, there are a handful of things that are exceedingly perfect that one cannot recreate at home. A perfect sandwich might be one.

Amazing dinner at elements in Princeton!

We did the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Chef Scott Anderson was really creative. Really looking forward to his lower priced restaurant Mistral opening in March.

Have you eaten at elements much? I've had some good meals there, but more often than not I find the dishes to be over thought and feel they just don't work. The cooking is first rate and the ingredients are high quality, but something gets lost in the translation from ingredients to dishes.

Valentino....

Branzino crudo with zuchini, waygu tongue carpaccio with truffles (wow.) Linguini with truffles was pretty stellar and the quail risotto was just slightly too rich for me. Amazing meal and Piero is such a great host as always.

spent a little bit reading the Jerusalem cookbook at a bookstore today. That inspired me to order from a local Israeli place for dinner.

from left to right, a mix of 4 hummuses (chickpea, mushroom, tahini, and Egyptian) , babaganush, beets (with celery, walnuts, and balsamic vinegar sauce), and then falafel.
