Roast beef, with veggies, and asparagus. I made a gravy for it too, but we had a little accident and the gravy train found itself on the kitchen floor. It would've been better, but oh well...

I'm finally better from my illness and my taste buds are back to normal, so today i'm gonna have a bunch of stuff i've been craving:

baguette with brie. I never compared a triple cream to a double cream and so i'm doing that tonight.

a type of 1-2mm long spaghetti-shaped pasta with italian parsley, green onions, mint, lemon zest, and parmigiano-reggiano

raspberries, strawberries and aged balsamic

a 375ml bottle of bourgogne aligoté

The girlfriend is out of town so I fired up a 300g 28 day dry aged Strip steak (med rare) with some sauteed onions and a potato dauphinois. (if you want to know where to find God, he is embodied in a good piece of dry aged beef)

Couple of Stellas while I was prepping, then finished off the last of a bottle of cabarnet the woman had opened.

Hour or so later I had a bit of nice creamy Stilton.

That looks tasty. I never tried Blue Marlin, is the flavor similar to Swordfish?

made some lebanese today: hummus, pita, tzatziki, and two spinach lavash grilled sandwiches, with spinach, feta, red onions, and tomato inside. Good meal.

Yeah, very similar. But the meat is a little tougher, more meaty, than what you'd expect from a fish. I think it holds up to grilling a little better.

Heh - missed this - typically bread with cheese at my desk. I save my strength for the evenings... From the last couple of weeks: Venison steak with mashed potatoes, plum onions and lots of gravy: (That was a restaurant) My girlfriend had halibut with something or other: Pork fillet roll with spiced butter, salad and boiled new potatoes: Coriander chicken with black rice: Cod fillet with black rice (again): Breaded chicken fillet with mashed potatoes: Tagliatelle with smoked trout, cream sauce and lots of parmesan: Cod with tomato/basil/olives, rice. (A bit like instant bacalao) : Today and too often lately, McDonald's at my desk.
