I will post a full review after tonight's show, but if it is anything like last night's it will be better than perfect If your question is "Does she still have it?", I think this settles it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XaxT3iGoKM Look at those legs.

I really can't explain how euphoric I was after these two shows. I will just chalk it up to magic. Plenty of 60-something rock 'n roll acts hit the road again, churning out a "Greatest Hits" playlist with the obligatory low-energy (but crowd pleasing) finale/encores. "This was a top 10 hit in 1982!" type stuff. Well, not Tina. If I had to pick one word to describe this tour it would be energy. From start to finish, Tina was dancing and singing her ass off. A woman behind me said at one point, "Jeeze, she sounds 48, not 68!" And she's right. The Voice is in FINE form. In all seriousness, it is better than it was on the 2000 24/7 tour. Don't ask me how/why, but I guess it's like a fine wine in that it betters with age. Her vibrato was SO GREAT in person. On some of the more emotional songs (Help, Let's Stay Together) it literally gave me chills. There was also a part in Goldeneye that did this, when she reaches into what is basically falsetto territory. I have never seen her do this part of the song in concert (only on record) but she hit it with gusto. It was like a revelation. She was just fierce on every song. Jumpin' Jack Flash, It's Only Rock 'n Roll, What's Love Got to Do With It, Typical Male, I Can't Stand the Rain, Undercover Agent for the Blues, Acid Queen...etc. She closed the show with a totally amazing Addicted to Love, and straight-after Proud Mary. The crowd was in frenzy and she came out for the encore and did Nutbush City Limits and got on the crane to lord over the crowd. I swear to god she waved to me at one point. One of the best parts was when she did a few songs while seated (along with acoustic guitars, etc.). Came back from intermission with Help, then segued into Undercover Agent, Let's Stay Together, and one of my absolute favorites I Can't Stand the Rain. The way she hits that note on "RAAIIIIN" in the second verse is enough to make any mammal orgasm. She was dancing like a maniac in her Louboutins. During Nutbush she was dancing up and down the crane arm and I was just screaming in delight. The girl has some serious moves. It was probably the best concert I've ever seen. If you're even remotely interested in her music, I would strongly urge you to attend. It is one for the record books.

I've been a fan for years now.

Conne:

First, I actually went to a Tina concert in the 1980s. She was touring with Brian Adams and it was actually a pretty good show IMO.

However, didn't she have a huge "farewell" tour several years ago?

This was sad. TT can still sing, but she moves around like a stiff old lady.

Conne, are you a big Rod Stewart fan as well? He has similar hair to Tina.

Dopey: not sure what you mean. She still does her trademark stutter step with gusto and kills it on the Proud Mary and Better be Good dance routines.

Watch her strut around. Her body is really stiff and creaky. She is great, and her singing is spectacular but time waits for no one.

She does look pretty stiff in the video. I don't think that video is really indicative of how she was live though. I was really surprised at how spry she looked dancing around on stage. She was keeping up with the dancers who were 1/3 or 1/4 her age. BTW, she had this one blonde dancer who was so incredibly hot, I couldn't stand up at all during the concert.

Cortisone and Ben Gay, perhaps. I wouldn't be surprised if she loosened up after a bit as the adrenaline started to flow. She probably has to sit in an ice tub afterwards.
I don't want to make fun . . . she is a great performer and in amazing shape for her age. It is pretty cool that she can do this at all.

For all you TT lovers, I'd highly recommend a viewing of the Rolling Stones documentary on the ill-fated free concert at the Altamount Raceway. TT (w/ Ike! ) does an amazing version of OR's 'I've Been Loving You Too Long', and a Conne-worthy rendition of 'Proud Mary'. Great film....

He's just trying to get a rise out of you. (Pun intended).
