how badly is using a DE going to mess up my face? - Page 2

I am with JLibourel on this. I started shaving with DE's. After a few years of regularly butchering myself I tried modern disposable safety blades and have never looked back except to shudder. No permanent damage, though.

Ig-pay atin-lay ... ed-day anguage-lay?

In Montreal, it should be pretty easy to get Florena shave cream ... or it was until they rebranded it as Noxema, but there's a little "used to be Florena" sticker on the box. Assuming they didn't change the formula, that'd be just fine to use, and you can buy it about everywhere in Canada dirt cheap.

If you shave properly, you'll be fine. The post shave witch hazel, aftershave, balm routine can help you look your best, longterm, too.

Stay away from the Wilkinson Swords if you can, man. Can't carry DE blades in hand luggage so I've had to pick up a pack of Swords a couple of times for emergency usage and have never failed to chop my face up with them. Don't know about long-term damage, but it's not pretty when you're in seduction mode.
