Best group?

Gang Starr (followed by Tribe Called Quest and Wu Tang and in some respect Mobb Deep). I saw Q-Tip at the grocery store last week and almost passed out. I sometimes have a hard time containing my inner fanboy. Outkast-Atliens was my fave when i was younger. That one Fugees album was good. The score.

Dj Premier and Dr. Dre and Rza


Best MC?

Tier 1: Guru, Rakim, Biggie, Nas, Tupac, Eminem, Big L, KRS-One, LL Cool J and Jay Z....

Tier 2: Big Pun, Jadakiss, 50 Cent, Easy E, Chuck D, Q-Tip/Pfife Dog/Ali Shaheed Moh, De La Soul People, Snoop Dogg, Havoc/Prodigy, Method Man, ODB, Raekwon, GZA/Genius, Ghostface Killah, Bobby Digital aka RZA

3rd tier: Jeru, Common, Lil Wayne, EPMD (Erik Sermon before he got older and corny), Camron, Kool Keith aka Dr.Octagon aka Ultramagnetic MCs and all the other people i cant think of right now

I dont consider Beastie Boys to be rap.. but they are brilliant in their own way. FYI be on the lookout for them walking around downtown. Frequently seen around Soho/Houston.

I dont like that Pharrell/Neptunes music. But that music was hot 5 or 6 years ago. Hit after hit after hit.



But really I dont listen to rap. Rap sucks IMO.
