Are leather trench coats back ??? - Page 3

Some say anything, it doesn't mean they're worth listening to.

My wife an I were in the Polo store last year and they had this brown leather trench (30's style). Somehow the sales person and my wife got me to try it on (it had been marked down to $500). I was surprised when it actually seemed to look pretty cool. I also imagine it would be very comfortable on a windy and cold day. It made me want to go out and buy a vintage motorcycle with a side car.

But I just couldn't get over the connection to old movies with German interrogators, secret police and perverts.

New leather trench coats remind me too much of the disco guys in the 70's with chains, bad cologne and lots of hair spray.

I could picture a light brown 1/4 to 1/2 length. Black, I should have to say, is verboten.

Do we still have the same sentiments 4 years later? I've been checking out trenches and fell in love with burberry's

I think it would work well with a rock-and-roll motorcyclist style now that emo isnt mainstream anymore and when something fits well (like a burberry) it wouldn't look like a metal head/punk rocker. I would like that with dark jeans, worn open flowing, mirror sunglasses, black boots... cant think of a shirt yet, though

No opinions? I think this could be a cool piece of streetwear.

Leather trench coat = Over Kill.
With the right settings and accessory it can look good (i.e – vintage Mercedes or Rolls-Royce , super model girl friend(s)…..)

Guess they went out of style with the dissolution of the Gestapo.
