I have always liked faded and worn jeans. I start by buying new, 501's, wear them and wash them for years and they become faded, worn and very comfortable. I also like newish, dark jeans. I rotate them all in and out of my wardrobe.

Well that's what I mean, on the front are loads of stylish suits and looks, and then they go to completely the other side in the shop section.

He meant Megan Fox.

I mean, Raw denim becomes faded denim - parts of my Nudie Bootcuts are nearly white. I actually got a compliment about them on Newbury st. from a very straight-looking businessman, which was odd.

Why do you always stand looking like you just got off a three-day meth binge? Seriously, your stance is of a man who has exhausted all his appetites.

I don't know what you mean. I've never done drugs.

I like the jeans SoCal, but I think it would be better with a belt.
Personally, I can't wear anything too faded, it just doesn't look right on me. That is not to say I do not like jeans with some fade though. I need a (non-distressed) pair with a golden-tinge.

SoCal's lost a lot of weight lately, that's probably why. The guy does look a bit malnourished though.

Or maybe he's doin his best James Dean impression...

No, they haven't. They've always been a casual staple. I'm not sure if GQ is trying to say that faded jeans will be accepted as more dressy.... which would be awful. For that you definitely want something dark.

I don't think there Is anything wrong with faded jeans. The ones that bring to mind Hollister, A&F, etc with the relaxed fits and bootcut bagginess annoy me. But ones like this(found on the sufu APCNS thread) I would wear(except maybe the rips):

Especially if they were once raw that you faded your self(like the ones above). Bonus points for that

I really like those APCs. They look pretty much perfect in my opinion although I think the rips will get excessive pretty quickly if the wearer is not careful.

Thank you. I see so many guys out there who wear it wrong and do not look good in it.
