yeah i just wasn't all that impressed with their options, i'm trying to dig through vacation rentals but there's just so many scam postings it's hard to find a decent legit one

Try some of the YMCA's around the city. They're fucking gnarly and full of junkies, but you can't really stay in NY (or most places in USA) for $40-$50/night. That seems unrealistic. I know a few friends who have stayed at a Y in the city and they only slept there (4-5 hours tops) since they were out wandering the city most of their stay.

OR, up your game and go home with a different girl every night... It's actually not difficult if you know where/when to go.

i'd rather pay that for a 16 bed dorm if that were the case, $40-$50 is more than enough for a dorm bed. i know i'm not getting a hotel room for $50 a night, that's not what i asked for there where and when to go would be helpful with whatever the situation may be in the end
