Abs that come and go

This is a bit of a strange topic but...

I've been running 5 times a week, for the past 2 months and so, and I can see abs forming (that's possible right? I should've taken a photo in August, then I could take one now in September)

Anyway, when I wake up in the morning - I swear I have abs but I have a little tyre around my stomach (should I just keep exercising/eating well, to get rid of this?)

As the day goes on, it disappears. I start getting a little gut.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Do guys with sculpt abs get a little gut after theyre full from eating?

As far as I know, your subcutaneous water levels are lowest in the morning, as we sweat at night, so striations et al will be more evident in the morning. You will also have no bloating and your stomach will be empty. So yes this is possible. Just keep running and eating healthy and the little tire will disappear and your abs will be visible always. I would toss in some strength training or at least ab work to help this goal.

Thanks man

It gives me a little bit of motivation when I see my stomach in the morning (as weird as that may sound...)

I'll just keep at it and hopefully see some changes in the next few months

everyone looks best in the morning...water levels, and you haven't been eating in your sleep.

But that's a good point nevertheless.

My midsection is noticeably slimmer in the early morning, in comparison to the evenings.

i know exactly what you're talking about. my abs are much more defined when I first wakeup than even after a workout.

I've always been on the slimmer side but despite working out I never had abs until this year, when I started cooking all my meals from scratch and eating cleaner.

Abs really keep you in check because of how easy it is to lose them; one bad weekend of boozing and greasy foods and BOOM they're gone! Once you finally have them for the first time it's almost like a drug trying to maintain and improve them.

It's all about your measure of body fat and not simply your weight!
