Penultimate means next to last, as much as ultimate means last. In this case, last meaning best, penultimate meaning second best. I realize this is not a common usage for penultimate, though it is for ultimate, so I thought it an interesting play on words.

My Italian-made ties are 3.75".

Sorry, we have no plans to make extra long ties in the near future. I highly recommend getting a bespoke tie from Sam Hober.

VG - Remember, Kent was the 'king of the 3" tie' at one point! He's gotten bigger (and better)....

Several designs have sold out, including the houndstooth and plain glen plaid, though there is still the glen plaid with red overcheck. Other designs have only one or two remaining.

The navy grenadine is sold out. The navy grenadine paisley remains. It's the same, just with a very subtle paisley weave that appears solid from a distance.
