Even better question front pocket or rear pocket? I been using a tri-fold for the longest time mainly because I keep my wallet in my front pocket. Most bi-fold well thinner yes, they are just to big to fit a front pocket comfortably. Also fwiw the last tri-fold wallet I bought was 8 years ago, Kenneth Cole, it's held surprisingly well.

Currently with a thrifted holographic Mario Bros. tri-fold because as far as I know there is no bi-fold version.

I think eventually when I wear it out I'll settle on a bi-fold.

Bifold, front pocket always. I hate having hard stuffs rubbing against my butt and having my wallet nicked. Keys also go in front pocket, everything else in the bag.
