Which one do you use, and why?

Bi-fold. I much prefer to have one crease on my bills than two, and a bit more in terms of size is a decent trade-off for less bulk.

I really, really hate tri-folds because of how the money ends up folded. I prefer bi-folds.

you carry your money in your wallet? amateurs. bi-fold because there's no reason to carry anything more than what fits in that.

bi-fold.

I presume tri-folds were invented to make wallets smaller. but they just end up being thicker. sucks

I'm not sophisticated enough for a money clip

I don't understand why people prefer to use money clips. You're still going to need to carry something to put your cards in, why not just keep it all in a wallet. But I guess money clips are fine if you need to carry a couple thousand in 100s with you. I like bi-folds because like I can't stand the way bills look in tri-folds.

bi-fold so far... i need to find a good wallet that will keep my cards safe though my last wallet has cracked all my cards in half

I've used a bi-fold from mont blanc for the past 4 years. It's held up suprisingly well. That being said, I usually carry my cash in a briefcase chained to my wrist.

I prefer bi-fold wallets since there is only one crease and they are generally thinner than tri-folds.

Bi-fold. I like my wallets very flat, and tri-folds are the complete opposite of that.
