Hi all,

I recently bought 2 suits for €30 including shipping, at first glance the buttonholes seemed hand stitched so I straight up bought them as the price was extremely low.

Now that I received the suits, I wondered what brand these suits are. I was searching for mariano napoli but I can not find anything except Rubinacci. I have not seen rubinacci suits with this label before.

Can anyone tell me if this is simply an old Mariano Rubinacci suit? And if not, if they are familiar with this brand?

Thanks for the help!

Handsewn buttonholes yes, bespoke yes, but a completely different tailor.

How do most people here maintain their pleated trousers - do you get them dry cleaned after every use, have a home steamer, or just become an expert with an iron?

Especially interested if you have flannel or non-machine washable fabrics.

I just press them again when they need it with an iron (you’ll quickly discover which fabrics hold a crease…), and usually send for cleaning at the end of the season.

A steamer and an iron are two very different things - you’ll need to use pressure to maintain a crease. For fabrics liable to take on a shine on the surface such as worsted woollens, it’s advisable to use a press cloth. Can be something as simple as a tea towel.

I guess I’ll give it a try, honestly after spending some money on non-business casual clothes I think maintenance is an underdiscussed issue.
