It's because some member aren't there to make a profit. They just want to get rid of some stuff they never wear.

What are some high quality sweater brands to look at? I've looked around, Brooks Brothers? Trying to match my patterned Mabitex with some solid tops, and I'd like to try a few solid sweaters.

Also, wearing sweaters over a collared shirt, does the collar have to be strong/starched? Any basic ideas I should know? I've never really tried to look.

You don't have to starch the collars, that's rather ridiculous. Brooks would have good sweaters, but you don't need to go that far. Just order a few wool sweaters from LL Bean.

Can a tailor add an inch or two in the waist/hip area of a peacoat? (Let it out, essentially?)

MC refers to the Men's Clothing portion of this site. SW&D is short for Streetwear & Denim.

To get an overview of "MC" style, look at the What Are You Wearing Right Now" thread. Mostly dressier "classic" clothing.

Do the same on the SW&D side, as the name indicates, it's more streetwear style - jeans, etc.

Welcome to the forum.

It could be worn with the top button undone, but that wouldn't make it a 3-roll-2...

Where do babies come from?

Now that I have your attention, what's a good shoe polish remover for my C&J monks!

Color preparer from Meltonian, or Deglazer from Angelus. Alcohol even works.

How does buying/selling work on SF? Do you just pm the seller and pay him through paypal, after which he sends your clothes?

How do you insure against the seller just taking your money and not sending anything?

Yep.

You don't. It runs on trust and reputation.
