Pediwear v Herring Shoes?

Hi folks. Just wondering if there is a preference to either of these sites for ordering shoes from the UK? The shoes in question are the same price on either site, so I'm just curious about the service.

Any ideas on these mystery shoes, fellas? I can't find a mark anywhere other than the size "8 D" and the heraldry, a winged lion atop a shield with two plumed helmets. If you make something up I won't even know the difference.

I'm 6'4", 225 lbs, athletic build, and have a high waist. Need to get a conservative two-button dark gray or blue suit, but am finding that 46 or 48 XL jackets have size 40 or 42 pants. I need a 36.

Any suggestions? What pant style would be best to break up the high waist?

Thanks.

Where's a good place to get some plain toe oxfords?

I would like something with a pointier toe.

In either an appropriate existing thread or a new one of your devising.

Chances are made-to-measure (MTM) will be your most realistic option. Taking in the waist that much can result in very odd looking trousers. The waist is usually reduced by taking in the center rear seam. This means that the pockets move closer together. This is fine for 1-2 inches, but not 4-6. The pockets could literally merge into a single uni-sack over the crack of your ass. Other than that, you could look for suit separates, where a retailer has various jackets and pants from the same cloth in various sizes and you can mix-n-match what fits. The downside to this is that suit separates are usually sold by lower-end retailers, so you won't get the best quality suit. It might be worth exploring just to see, but my gut says MTM is your best bet.

Anybody know where I can get a motorcycle jacket/suit to wear over a suit? Something I can wear to ride to work in?

This definitely does NOT warrant a thread...

What's the best way to get wrinkles out of a tie?? Same question for a stain?

As for the wrinkles, I tried putting a portable steamer over it, but I thiiiink it made it worse. For the stain, I haven't done anything, but I'm guessing dry cleaner would be OK?

For a stain, I was successful once with repeatedly blotting with a wet napkin. This was a bit of steak grease that got on a tie a dinner. Another time I a different tie (with a similar food stain) to the dry cleaners and although the stain was removed the tie came back "lifeless".

I recall various discussions on these topics on SF and it seems that at-home and dry cleaner methods are YMMV at best. As far as tie wrinkles go, many here have suggested http://www.tiecrafters.com/ in NYC.

Has there been a thread in fairly recent history devoted to accessory "groupings" for lack of a better term? Something similar to what Vox did in this picture:

Basically, pictures of accessories that go well together (gold, carbon fiber, bone, alligator, etc.) like those done in the Big Black Book a while back? Can someone direct me toward the thread(s) if there are any?
