I've seen a wool suit that I really like, but the waist of the coat is about 1" too small. Is it possible/advisable to have it let out (provided there's enough fabric)? Thanks.

Not with the v cleats (but those kill floors anyway), but like any other high quality welted shoe, they can be resoled fairly easily.

Whats the purpose of the 3 stitched lines on the back of gloves? Do they offer some structural advantage or are there merely for fashion?

that's what i thought at first, but they seem closer to 9.5. but now that i look at the stamp again, i think you might be right. it just seems to be printed oddly.

I'll be in Soho, NYC this weekend. Any sales worth checking out. I'm trying to get some business casual type stuff ;-)

I was watching a James Bond movie the other day, and I like the shoes Pierce Brosnan wears. I think they are Church monk strap. Does any department store carry them? Are they good quality?

Seems the shoes will be wedge vertically in those tight spaces once you close the cabinet.

British cuts are not my cup of tea -- bit stodgy compared to sleek Italian cuts -- but yes recent Bond has been mostly Church and John Lobbs.

If you want to be inspired by Pierce Brosnan's style, have a look at Remington Steele reruns. The man was bloody super-sharp.

Just purchased these chinos for summer. I absolutely love the colour, but am unsure about what colour shirt/tshirt/shoes to pair them with. Any suggestions?

Are all ties suppose to have dimples or only silk ones? I'm finding it impossible to create one in my alpaca tie.
