I just tried on this Ring Jacket suit (size 42) at The Armoury. Obviously the sleeves would need to be lengthened, but does the jacket seem too short?

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

It would be too short for me if I were to purchase it. But I can see it being worn just fine casually. Do you think those sleeves can be lengthened enough? look like almost a full inch.

I have a question. Can anyone give some suggestions on shoe manufacturers? Alden and AE last just are not attractive, I have some Loakes but ordering overseas is becoming a pain and expensive with shipping and import tax. Can anyone suggest a brand I should be looking at in the ~$500 range with European style lasts?

Thanks!

J. Fitzpatrick? He's good with shipping. Carmina has made it's way Stateside as well.

Get Loakes from Pediwear, they do free shipping and depending where you can waive vat.

I have a very small stain on a (silk) tie, what's the best way to deal with it? Also, I have no idea at all what the stain is as I noticed it yesterday, and I hadn't eaten any food with the tie on or anything that day.

Blazer fit question -- what should be done here? Shortening the sleeves seems immediately in order, but apart from that what would you guys suggest?

Specs about the blazer: Gant Rugger Hopzack 42

What is the quality level of Lost and Found shoes?

So I am standing up in a wedding this october. I'm not the best man. The groom wants us all in grey pants, monochrome plaid shirts, and any tie that matches. I'm having a hard time matching a tie (neck tie or bow tie) to a monochrome plaid shirt. Can I get some suggestions? My grey pants are on the lighter side and Id like to not have to buy new ones..

HELP!?

Is there a specific thread for like "looking to buy (insert item)" For example, I'm looking to buy a leather biker jacket, is there a specific place I should post or just create a thread? Thanks! Don't really know the rules as I am new.

Plaids are generally informal and wouldn't be my first choice for a wedding, but of course it's not up to you. Might be helpful to ask the grooms for more specific instructions. What exactly does he have in mind--does he have any examples of this combination (monochrome plaid + tie) that he likes?

By monochrome do you mean specifically black/grey and white or is a different color (e.g. blue) okay as well?

Are you going to wear a jacket?

What scale plaid are you considering (or do you already have the shirt, in which case it'd be really helpful to see it). In general the larger the scale of the pattern, the less formal the shirt. Can you wear a small-scale graph check?
