Personally, I definitely see seersucks as a summer thing. Linen too. Madras and gingham, not so much. It depends on the colors, textures, and density of the fabric though.

I'll fool around with some and see how it looks.

I'm prejudiced against gray or jewel tone shirts because I think I look like hell in them.

Yes. The word's meaning goes far beyond just bigotry, even though it's most commonly used in that context. I, for example, am prejudiced against men who wear jorts. I think that that is perfectly fair.

Maybe the grey would be easier to pair with more colours?

No, Blue odd jackets are much much easier to pair.

What about dark brown or dark green?

Blue is still easiest but dark colours are pairable fairly easily. You will have fewer options with green, I'd say. If you are after versatility, go with navy.

Those are nice. Get one of those and a navy blazer.

Thanks. I'll probably go with the darker one. Also, can you recommend a blazer? I heard the suitsupply navy jackets don't qualify as blazers?

Not sure why you would stray away from blue jeans, they are about as versatile as you get with casual wear.
