Yeah - it is a polos and chinos environment. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Do you think that grey strap will go with it well?

Dear Anyone

I saw this pair of shoes posted on a thread and was wondering:

  • are these shoes made by Barrett from Italy
  • how much do they cost
  • where can you by them.

Thanks in advance

I haven't seen an LMGTFY link in like a year. thumbs-up.gif

Lands' End has a 30% off sale at least once a month. You should probably wait, especially if you don't need them so urgently.

Banana Republic is overpriced garbage. Avoid.

I only go to BR if I can't find the item that I want at Lands' End, Brooks Brothers, Club Monaco, or even J Crew. That said, I have been going to BR a lot lately because quality seems to be trending up. Also, considering OP's need, BR may well be one of the best choices for him because it offers the right fit, styling, and accessibility for a slim college guy.

Can y'all recommend some good RTW dress shirts? I've had it with RLBL dress shirts with their short collars.

Let's just combine the last two posts into my question: How long are the collar points on an LE spread? I've quit buying their BDs because the points are a little skimpy, but I like spreads with fairly long points.

I think a black nato would look better myself. I have similar pilot watch with a black face that I wear with a black braided nato sometimes, looks great.

Banana Republic may be "overpriced" at full price, but it's pretty much never necessary to buy anything at less than a 40% off discount.   I like some of their polos and knits.

Option 1

option 2

option4

The small check is great, the dots are pretty good, the thick stripe is somewhat questionable. I think you are getting the idea great by youtself.

I think a grey NATO strap with that watch would be fine. You may also want to go with something in colors, perhaps a Bond grey and black NATO.

Trouser sizes,

Is the size US 38 equivalent to the EU 48, more or less like suit jackets? (not talking jeans sizes)

Thanks!

No US 38 == EU 54

For men's pants, subtract 16 from the number.

No.

Can alterations fix this: lapels bow out, belly stretches forward, diagonal wrinkles on shoulder, vertical wrinkles on back (photos below)? How hard/expensive is it to fix? The issue occurs with all OTR suits for which the shoulder width fits (tried dozens). If I hunch my shoulders forward, the problem mostly goes away.
