For a summery look, maybe consider a tassel.  But really, they're all good, just go with what you love.  And wear socks. :)

A cheap option would be Meermin.

Allen Edmonds Sedona is on clearance now.  That's way below your price range and a great loafer.

Thanks - actually have a killer pair of AS tassel loafers already. And don't worry, I'm always at least wearing no-show moc socs.

Does it mean that it's possible to make and remove the crease, while the pleats can't be removed using regular tools at home (have to use a tailor)?

Correct, to remove a pleat generally a dart would be created.

I bought a blazer in 36R and the shoulders fit nicely, however my chest is 34, which makes the jacket a bit loose in the chest/ waist. Is it typically a difficult and expensive task to taper the sides? I also need to shorten the sleeves a bit as well.

Anyone know what these type of coats are called?

^ Coat looks like something the Nazi SS would wear. Sinister looking (and ugly)

Few years ago there was a post of a beautiful indigo blue coat of that type posted. This was the closest picture I have on hand.

I guess you could call it a bastardized version of an Ulster coat. Those arm slits are awful
