Just wanted to share. After I read this, I wondered... "Jesus, I hope my new blazer doesn't have any Polyester in it." I went back to check and it is 100% wool. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Then I checked my Perry Ellis suit I wore to Monte Carlo, the casino in Monaco, and it's 96% Polyester. rotflmao.gif

Thank you mimo and the rest of the gang for your response. I agree with your opinions about researching this forum ( believe I am). I am 37 years young and a blue collar worker. I am planning on buying a brown and black of wingtips, loafers, laceups, and captoes to start. I will keep all of you up to date on my purchase. I will try to start a thread on how to make a respectable closet on a predetermined budget. Thank you all again.

Can a really thin 100% wool sports jacket be worn in Summer?

I suspect most people on this forum wear wool sport jackets all year round. To keep cool, you will probably want something light-weight, half or quarter lined, and in an open-weave fabric.

Enough for me.

This jacket is really light weight (even as compared to a light linen jacket), and I want it more or less all year round

Thanks for the answer

Which pocket square should I have in precedence? An white linen PS or white linen with navy/black edge PS?

The former.

Why does linen hold a crease better than cotton? Is it because of the longer fibre length?

Well, it is from an entirely different plant. What does it matter, though? Curious.

Does the below suit/shirt/tie combination work well for an upcoming wedding?

AppleMark

Why does linen crease like a motherfucker as soon as you put it on...that's another question.  But I think they should both be considered rhetorical for fear of boring the shit out of everyone.

Blazer with button down shirt and no tie - top button done or undone?
Top button of the shirt? Undone.

Bottom button of the blazer, likewise.

Yes of the shirt. Thanks!
