are there non shell PTBs that have a leather sole and not the commando one? i haven't been able to find non shell ones...

Hey there, leather geeks.

 

I'm a picky bee about bags and I was wondering if y'all could point me in the direction of a smaller weekender-type bag made out of black shell cordovan with understated finishing touches (fine, non-constrast stitching). 

 

I've found vintage etienne aigner bags, but I was hoping for something that was new in the past 30 years, haha, 

 

P.S. -  I'm jealous that clothing for men is about choices (bespoke/tailored clothing is traditionally associated with men) while clothing for women is generally determined by a male designer without the input of the female consumer before it reaches the market. cold[1].gif

Allen Edmonds also makes PTBs that have leather soles. I think the two are Leeds and Kenliworth.

Correct. Those are on Plaza.

My pleasure to help. I have to admit that I thought they made a stock Barrie PTB in calf on a leather sole, but I actually can't find one... there are various custom makeups on leather soles in chromexcel and other materials, and there are non-shell stock models on non-leather soles (notably the All Weather Walker), but I can't find exactly what you're looking for. I'm pretty surprised, honestly. shog[1].gif

How do you store your wool and cashmere sweater when not in use during the fall and winter months?

 

Fold and place in plastic bags??? Something else??

I spent like an hour looking around too. I just wanted a less baller version of the ptb shell. I was surprised as well
