Has anyone done a comparison of the current Grenfell trench coats to similar Burberry products? I am looking for a trench coat, but I cannot find any reviews of the Grenfell ones to compare with Burberry. Does anyone have any thoughts on Grenfell?

Quick tailoring question:

can jacket lapels be removed to create a lapel-less look? Is it advisable not to do so? The jacket is a cheap one; could experiment.

Well I have no idea what this would look like. Or for sure if it is possible. But my tailor has said to me you can always change a shawl lapel, into a peak, and a peak into notch. I can only assume you can turn a notch into a lapel-less. But you will need a master tailor. I can't imagine it looking good without taking it to someone who knows what thy are doing. Which will cost you a lot.

Hello,

I keep getting this weird ripple thing in my dress shirts. It's difficult to straighten out (only stays straight for a few minutes). Does anyone know why this happens? My shirts are slim, but not tight and it happens on $50 and $200 shirts alike. I am a slim man without a gut of any kind.

I've seen a photo of an experiement with that (doubt I could find it again though) and it looked utterly awful. Erase that idea from your head, you're just talking about ruining a perfectly good jacket.

If you want a lapel-less look, buy a cardigan.

Hi, SFers.
I've got this Paul Stuart SC made in Canada.
What I only know Canadian suit maker is Samuelsohn.
I've already search but I can't find this tag by Samuelsohn, only find recent 'white' tag but this is light 'yellow' tag.
I think this is somewhat old stock. But I don't know exactly how many years old.
Anyway, I just want to know this SC's maker.
