I am drooling over the tie and want to make sure this ensemble will work before I pull the trigger.
post #17598 of 223269/23/12 at 8:49amDoes anyone know the maker and last of these shoes (BB Peal medallion cap toe)? I've read that the single row of nails means C&J, but I have no idea what last. Thanks.

It would go just fine with either but I would use the light blue shirt.Quote:Originally Posted by srs55

Haha that's the pocket square I got too with the tie. It goes well with it but if you don't want the pocket square to resemble anything to the tie than perhaps you should go with all white linen.post #17603 of 223269/23/12 at 11:03ampost #17604 of 223269/23/12 at 6:24pmHello, I am in need of a new suit! I want something classic, yet versatile. I have a budget of 500 dollars for this, though I would prefer to keep it lower. I am 5'10" and 145 pounds so I am rather slim. I have looked into suit supply but I would like to see what my other options are! Thank you Ahead of time!

I would probably suggest looking at the sales on Gilt.com
it's probably the best place to get a quality suit for the price range you want.
For that range you could go to Macy's, Men's Warehouse, or Joseph Bank. But I don't suggest their suits.

Suitsupply is your best option. You might go just a few dollars over the $500 budget to spend on tailoring. For the quality/price, Suitsuppy is hard to beat.I wouldn't suggest Gilt because most of what they have is garbage, with a few exceptions.

This is a beautiful tie. It would work with a dark navy nailhead suit assuming that the light blue shirt is a solid shirt, otherwise it might look too cluttered. I dont think you need a white shirt (even though that choice would also work). Adding a rust colored tie to a dark navy suit with a lighter shade of blue shirt would look fantastic in my opinion. Good choice!

I would go with the Kent Wang tie. Given that you already have two layers with blue (suit and shirt), you are better off wearing a contrasting color such as burgundy. Additionally, the solid color of the burgundy can work with both a solid and striped shirt, whereas its would be harder to pull off for the Sam Hober tie as you would have stripes on stripes (unless the suit is a solid).
The Kent Wang grenadine burgundy tie looks great - definetely go with that one!
