Hello (and sorry for my bad english):

Barbour Fit/Size:

I wear a Barbour Beauford in 36 and it fits very well.

Would the Barbour Duracotton Polarquilt fit best for me in Size S or eben XS?

Thanks!

I hope this is the ideal location for this inquiry, but some time ago, I read this article:

http://blog.styleforum.net/cheaney-shoes/

and I'm pretty much needing those black scotch grain boots... However, I can't seem to find them anywhere* (ideally online, I live in Montana). Any hope/help?

*It doesn't help that I also have no idea where to look.

I'm attending a creative black tie event next weekend and am wondering if this will fly as far as shoe/tux combo goes:

My other options are a pair of black AE Park Avenues or to go and buy another shoe.  Of the three options what do you suggest?

Thanks!

I'm not exactly an expert (yet :P) but I don't like it. And it looks quite casual. Sorry :/ Could you post a pic of the pants/black AEs?

Hey I'm new to the site and I'd just like to say that this forum is addicting and has skyrocketed my shoe obsession. I've been upgrading my wardrobe and am looking to move away from always wearing canvas shoes.  I've been looking for a brown leather shoe or boot that I can wear with jeans and a button up. Something not too dressy but not clunky and overly casual. I have a pair of AE walnut Cliftons that I love but they're a little too dressy for the look I'm going for. The Clarks desert boots get good reviews and I almost bought a pair but I'm just not a huge fan. So does anyone have a "Go-To" shoe that fits this description?

I really like the color and cap toe of these but haven't been able to find them online:

Hi, I posted this question in Streetwear & denim forum with no replies so thought id try here.

I am in the process of buying my first load of casual long sleeve shirts to wear in the day time - to the shops, out with friends/girlfriend, to the pub, cinema, restaurants , etc

i've bought 2 flannel shirts, a plain white shirt, a light blue shirt, and a small navy checked shirt, all cotton

So i was thinking of getting a horizontal stripe shirt, how is this green stripe one, for a 27 year old man, wearing for the above locations?:

are denim jeans and dark brown boat shoes best suited with this shirt?

Also, as i only wear light, mid, and dark blue denim jeans and creme chinos, i was thinking of getting some black jeans, but prefer the faded look,

what do others think of these black faded jeans?

- im not sure what does and doesnt go well with them?  footwear especially, does dark brown boat shoes look ok with them?

if black and brown never suit well, what footwear can i wear with black faded jeams and a casual shirt?

thanks

Not to be a dick but isn't that shirt a vertically striped shirt and not a horizontally striped shirt? wink.gif

I like the shirt, especially the color, but in my opinion it's 20% shirt and 80% how the shirt fits you. So if it fits you well then I'd say pull the trigger on it. If I were wearing this shirt I'd rock em with a dark wash blue jean and more of a walnut colored oxford or chukka. I think a beige boat shoes would go well too. I have a pair of black jeans that I wear when I want to mix things up. I normally wear em with black or white shoes.

Are the pants black? I assume so, but can't tell with the flash.

If they're actually black, then it's awful. If they're not, well...it's still awful but very slightly less so. Just way too casual looking shoes for anything approaching black tie, "creative" or no.

The black PAs would be fine. Just shine the hell of them.

That would be a Bengal stripe shirt and my personal opinion is that it is a staple you should have in a few colors, red, green, blue and purple. I omit red because it just is not a good color on me. Works fine with denim or chinos. (It is vertical stripe BTW)
