Open them up with a knife. Are you wearing the jacket or is it wearing you?

Those are basting threads and come out very easily with a seam ripper. Whether you remove them is up to you.

^they are rayban, shouldn't be hard to find which

Buying a new suit soon, want the lapel on the thinner side. Will a 3.25" tie be too big?

I'm thinking it may be. One of the suits I'm looking at, jcrew ludlow http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/suiting/allludlowsuits/PRDOVR~41794/41794.jsp

even in the pictures that tie looks a bit big, and it seems to be on the slimmer side

You can open them up yourself. The question is whether or not you are going to use the pockets. If you don't think you will, I would just leave them shut.

I wouldn't count on there being enough to let them out that much unless the seller specifically confirms that there is.

Seller told me there is .5" - 1" of spare in addition to the cuff. I'm thinking about letting the cuff out and trying a fake/french cuff. From what I've read, there isn't a noticable difference as long as it is done correctly.

Unfortunatley cuffs are a must because they are pleated pants.

What is a fake/french cuff?

A cuff without hemming the pant I believe. Some tailors call it french. They probably just don't like to use the word fake.

I know it can give you extra length in the pant.

That makes no sense. You cannot "produce" fabric where there isn't any.

Just reduces the amount of fabric that is folded in on itself.

Posted this in SWD but didn't really get a response so I'll try my luck here.

I got these pants from Barney's that unfortunately came stained and they won't do anything in terms of an exchange and only offered a 10% credit. Any idea on how I can clean this out?

Also, any suggestions for good quality solid white and/or blue shirts for under $100?

So I have a pair of AE loafers and I daubed some shoe cream on it. I didn't polish it or anything else. Whenever water even touches my shoe, the cream gets stuck in the drop of water.

Did I do something wrong? Was I supposed to daub the shoe with a damp cloth after putting the cream on?

Thoughts on an Italian style suit, made of navy shark skin wool super 150s, peak lapel with a ticket pocket.

Not sure if all these features go together, I love the peak lapel but not sure if a ticket pocket would look off or not. I'm looking for a versatile suit with this effort, since I have the choice to omit or add details as it will be MTM. Any thoughts appreciated.
