I just bought a pair of Varvatos shoes, after wearing them for a couple hours I realized they're too tight in the right foot (left is fine).  They only come in length sizes, not width.  It's hard to say by how much they're too tight, but I can't imagine it's by much (i've never had shoes that were too tight before).  They were a one-off, half price at the Rack, so I can't size up... should I just return them or will they stretch?  They're suede, and I'm pretty sad I might have to bring them back.

You can stretch leather shoes a little in the width, just be careful that you do it only a little at a time so you don't do it too much. Either buy a shoe stretcher or take them to a cobbler.

Is the cut of this suit on me just wrong or is it simply the wrong size?

Return them, if you haven't already scuffed up the soles too much.

I'm hoping to find a nice loafer that I will be able to wear with these pants while on vacation:

Navy, Med Grey, Med Brown, Light Beige
269

I'm restricted to ordering online without trying on because it seems loafers are out of season in every shoe store in my city. I'm fairly confident that my size is a 10.5D. All my shoes are 10.5, and Allen Edmond's sizing guide online confirmed that, along with the medium width. This will be what I consider my first "real shoe" in my collection.

Would a color like this work for all pants?

Or prefer something darker, like this:

I'm not sure the first color would work for the navy, and I'm not sure the second one would work for the white. If forced to choose one, I would probably go with the darker color, since IMO it's more compatible with the white than the light one is with the navy.

I would also go with the bass ones at this point. The signature ones they've come out with recently are a higher quality version of their standard ones, which means better leathers, for not too much more money, and about the lowest price you'll ever find a decently built resoleable shoe at. The AE by Allen Edmonds things you're looking at are gluejobs.

I personally would have no problems wearing either colour with those pants. I happen to like the contrast of light shoes and dark pants though.

Any recommendations for slim navy dress pants under 90$? I have my eye on some from J Crew, but I would rather spend the money elsewhere if I can get a better buy.

Thanks in advance!

Brooks Brothers Milanos are nice. I recently purchased two pair from Steve Smith at half the cost you mentioned. They fit nice and slim without being restrictive.

Hi. I´m new in the forum, but not so new in the fashion world. I started really caring about fashion and dressing properly a few years back, and since then have also becomed a bit obsessed with it and certain brands (dsquared especially) and also some great online retailers, like Mr. Porter and Luisa via roma. I´m kinda using this as an introduction thread because i´m not too sure where to start posting. And I come with a question, to do some justice to the topic of the thread: do i have to wait a certain time or do i need a specific amount of posts before I can open a new thread on the buying and selling forum? ´Cause I´m looking for something and I wanted to create a thread to see if someone had said item...

Thanks in advance for any answer and looking forward to learning a lot in this forum.
