Hello all, first post on the forum (been lurking for a while), and in typical fashion it is a question.
I know this is a matter of taste, but, are these lapels too wide? I think they add a bit of panache but am sensitive to looking like I walked out of 1974.
Your lapel width should be relative to your tie. Are you willing to wear a tie that wide?
Is this a coral colored linen (or linen blend) sportcoat suitable for business wear in the summer (in the southern US)? Or is it just a weekend garden party thing? I am considering making one MTM for me in the swatch color below; a similar shade is pictured on BB's latest catalogue
MTM dark gray 3-piece; one button & peak lapels, DB lapelless vest. Black AE Park Aves, black and silver Prince of Wales tie. Small white rose in the buttonhole. Groomsmen and ushers in dark suits with wedding ties, black shoes, and small dark pink rose boutonnieres.
Jacket: button when standing and unbutton when sitting, or lean more toward unbuttoned since it's a 3-piece?
Glasses: gray rimless titanium or tortoiseshell acetate?
Vest: pocketwatch on a chain or skip it?
