A most basic question. How do I most accurately determine my size, and what would be in the range of other sizes that fit/look good? I happened to a Lord & Taylor's recently and was cornered into trying on some suits; the one that looked best was a 42L. I managed to extricate myself from there (for I was shopping for sweaters, not suits) by insisting upon a single vented peaked lapel jacket, but my question is this? If I'm a 42L, would getting a 42 work, or what about a 43S?

I'm looking to buy a Burberry coat. I know they don't have any sales online but do the physical stores have any sales currently? Do they allow ordering by phone? Thanks in advance.

Burberry boutiques do have sales.... just depends on where you're located. You can also find their stuff @ Nordstrom's and Nordstrom's Rack where it will also be on sale. Not sure about the phone...sorry.

no sales right now, but they do have some serious sales. I wanted a mink collared trench that was 5000, marked down to 2200 and with my friend's discount would have been 1100. Too bad their smallest was 46 because it was way too baggy on me

next time you're visiting home, go to cranbury, there's a cobbler right next to the pizzeria (same building) on main street.

Took a pair of edmond's strands in there, polished, waterproofed, new lifts, edges dressed, and new taps.

18 bucks.

turnaround time, two days.

It seems like the obvious answer would be a 42L. Why are you looking for other sizes when you already determined a size that is likely to fit you?

There's going to be some variance from different makers and models, of course. Best option would be to go back and get some measurements.

I sort of confused myself in my original post. When I said dress shirt, I figured it was interchangeable with other button downs (Casual shirts/Dress shirts). So now my question is should I have separate shirts for work (tucked in) and for casual (untucked)? I went to my tailor and asked if she can cut it down to where I can potentially wear it untucked and still looks good while allowing for a tuck. She seemed to be against it.
