Sears might be able to order Lands' End items to the local store faster than high-priced shipping directly to the customer. If not, what is your location? Maybe there are other retailers with the right pants nearby.

You'll have a hobo patch on your suit- rendering it useless.  It looks like bleach, as mentioned above.  The best you can hope for is to find a way to die it, but essentially it's done.  Sorry.

Anyone know the Nordstrom return or exchange policy for a special order shoe? I am thinking of getting a shoe that they have to order from Allen edmonds.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same as returning any other pair of shoes, but if you want to be sure, call Nordstrom Customer Service, at (888) 282-6060, and ask. No sense trying to figure it out by asking us, when you could just as easily find out from Nordstrom and get an official answer (albeit, not one in writing).

Thanks. Called and confirmed. It is the same policy if you special order.

Looking for these shorts posted below. Seersucker, on the shorter side, and brighter blue stripes. Thanks,

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster, hoping to mine your collective wisdom.  I've got a 'thick' body type (think rugby player) with a 20" neck, 46" chest and 38" waist.  Buying dress shirts has been impossible: most brands that carry my neck size have twice as much waist room as I need; brands that offer extra slim cuts rarely even go up to an 18" neck.  The best I've been able to do is a TM Lewin Slim Cut, but I really need something with about 4-6 inches less waist circumference.  Any advice?

For anyone in NYC - any suggestions for a very reliable cleaner (spot removal), other than madame paulette, preferably downtown manhattan somewhere?

Anyone have any recent experience with Meurice regarding spot removal / tailoring? There is good feedback on an old thread, but not much recently

Thanks!

Go MTM. Try the various ones talked about here on SF.

How difficult it is to shorten the shoulder width on shirts?

I got a few Tyrhwitts in the mail, good fit but only nitpick is that the shoulders can be a quarter inch closer.

Very. It requires an excellent tailor, deep pockets, and usually ends in tears.

This might be the dumbest question ever but is it possible to turn a blue shirt into a pale blue shirt yourself at home with bleach?

What stores are good to visit in San Diego? Going there for 4th of July.

On my list is to hang out with Young, of Gentlemens Foot Wear.

Quick question:

What is the most you can shorten on a sleeve of a blazer/sport coat?

I think I need to shorten around 3 inches. It has a working cuff.

Thanks in advance
