Either could be a perfectly fine choice.

Me? If I had to choose between those two, I'd go with the Kent Wang, simply because it'd save me around $50 over the cost of the VFC, and it comes in a choice of widths and lengths (and I prefer a 62" tie to a 57" tie).

But if it weren't a time critical thing, I'd choose to go with a Sam Hober grenadine, rather than either of your choices.

How long would Sam Hober take?  I know that he does MTO out of Thailand, but I only have a bit over two weeks.

Longer than that, unfortunately. You can try contacting him and seeing if he can do rush processing, but youd do well to start looking for backup options.

Yeah, Hober is generally more than a two week wait. That's why I mentioned that it'd be my choice if time weren't critical.

But, similar to what I recently asked in response to another post in this thread, just how necessary is it that you get the tie in two weeks or less? I can understand that you might want to wear a nice tie to some scheduled event in two weeks time, but almost any tie can go perfectly well with the plain grey suit you mention. Wear some tie you already have to the event in two weeks, and eventually the Hober tie will show up, and from that point forward you'll have the option of wearing it.

Pictured above is what Andrew Garfield wore in the movie "The Social Network". If anyone can pinpoint the make of this jacket I would reeally appreciate it. I really like the look of it.

Anybody have any idea about this jacket?

I've a set of interviews from the twentieth through to the next week.  If it were any old event, I'd not be bothered, but I'd prefer to look my best for these.  I may still do what you suggest; Sam Hober seems like a much better deal.

NoQualms, I give you my word that interviewers rarely care much whether your tie is from Hober, Hermes, Charvet, Brooks Brothers, Robert Talbott, Lands' End, etc. So long as it's clean, neat, and appropriate in design, they just won't care. With few exceptions, they won't even know.

I get that you might feel more confident when wearing a splendid necktie. But I'm confident you can muster up the necessary self-confidence to do well at these interviews, even in something other than a nice, new grenadine tie.

And eventually you'll receive the Hober tie, and you can wear it for another set of interviews, or for a presentation to the Board, or to the office Christmas party, or when you propose marriage, or whenever.

Well, just my 196 Indonesian Rupiahs' worth. (2 cents by any other name...)

Hello, I am new to this forum and this is my first post

I have a quick question:

I have a Versace Collection Wool/Nylon suit that I bought on sale recently

I noticed this wear on the back of the jacket today and it was not there before, I tried applying water but to no avail

I believe the fabric is peeling

When i bought the suit a little tailoring was done and I was giving strips of fabric in a pouch

Does this seem like something that a tailor can easily address? (Don't have time to go to one for a few weeks so I just wanted assurance)

Thank you all for your assistance

The close up looks like it has been splashed with bleach.

I'm with Steve Smith in thinking that's been splattered with bleach. If that's the case, it's garbage, completely irreparable.

As has been suggested, Lands' End. Specifically, I'd recommend their Year'rounder line.

You have indicated that ordering from Lands' End could be a problem, as you need the pants within the week.

If, by this, you're implying that mail order is out, and you need to purchase at a local store... well, you haven't told us where you are. Tough to recommend a local store, without knowing where "local" is.

Bear in mind, you can buy from Lands' End today. Pay a few bucks extra for UPS Express or UPS 2-Day delivery. And the pants will arrive by mid-week. The extra charge for such delivery isn't outrageous.

Lands' End can also hem/cuff your pants, at no extra charge. I don't know whether this delays shipment, but it could potentially save you time, if getting the work done locally would involve a few days turn around time.

How urgent is it that you have the pants ASAP, really? I mean, surely you have a pair or two of acceptable pants already, capable of tiding you over until your new pants arrive.

found a lands end within a sears about 15 minutes away. do they usually have an OK selection?

Not really. Even the largest Lands' End within a Sears store will only carry a small fraction of what's available on LandsEnd.com .

Is it even impossible to possible replace the fabric?

Quick Question.

Before I'm told off I have tried to find the answer but without luck. ( well I had a man look)

I'm selling some boots via Marketplace how do I edit with a price drop - Do I have to wait until the 7? day bump or can this happen earlier? I see I can edit the main text body and title but I cant see where I can edit the price which sits next to the heading?

Thanks for your help
