Thank you, I mean going picnic like fishing, walking on uneven and rough ground, maybe a little wet surface, I don't climb up a mountain or something like that.

Azumi: OK, in that case it's really a matter of personal preference then. I guess Suede would be more difficult to clean if it's muddy, that's all. And dainite soles can be slippery on wet ground, especially on rock, but not a big issue if you're careful.

Is it recommended or suggested to buy a suit, for example Express, for the measurements and supplying it to a MTM co. like Black Lapel?

You can also have a tailor take your measurements.

Need to shorten dress shirt sleeves. Should it be long enough or a tad short of reaching the point where my thumb meets the rest of my hand when I wear the shirt with cuffs unbuttoned?

Need some quick opinions...is this a good deal?

Thinking about getting this for a banquet (I'm in high school so I don't need a super expensive suit, just something that's not horrible). For $280 after all discounts, would this be a good deal?

Thanks!

Reposting this question, I know someone has bought from suit supply before...

Will these look as shiny in real life as they do in the photos? (sorry wasn't able to download/copy and paste these)

So where do you think would be the best place for a high schooler to get a suit? Or does it not really matter at this point?

I think at this point it probably doesn't make a difference since more than likely you will outgrow it.

Hey all,

Two questions:

1 are Allen Edmonds Flatirons only for suits?

2 what's your opinion on these shoes:

Thank you.

1.  No, you could definitely wear these with chinos, even jeans and a jacket.

2.  I think they're quite nice.  Allen Edmonds in general are decent shoes in my experience, but look for a sale - there's always some deal, somewhere.
