I'm sure this is a fairly common question but what labels provide quality shirts for reasonable prices?  (around lets say $65 per shirt)

I'm looking for slim or extra slim fitting shirts.

Thoughts on 5th & Lamar? B&B?

I'm from canada so ideally from a brand is able to ship up here.

Brooks Brothers. Few locations in Canada too.

I have a 4 button db jacket and the tailor told me that I should adjust the buttons so I it doesnt dimple on the right side. But a lot of pictures i've seen with have the dimple on the side. What is right or wrong? This is how it looks adjusted.

Go to "my profile", click "edit community profile", scroll down to "your forum signature" and click "edit signature" - a box pops up, at the bottom of which are three pull down menus labelled "show off stuff in your signature", select from there which of your classifieds you wish to be shown off.

Thanks, I was too impatient before to scroll all the way down there lol.

Looking at picking up a winter coat. I already have a peacoat so am looking for something else, preferably wool as well. I don't want a topcoat but something to a similar length of a peacoat will do. Like these two but wondering if there are better options out there, perhaps for less $$$ too:

The Schott coat seems nice but it's only 85% wool. Looking for something in the $150-$300 range.

Can a tailor make a vest longer, or do the proportions get screwed up?

Are these shoes too formal for everyday use at high school? I usually dress in OCBDs, cardigans, crewnecks, jeans, chinos and corduroy pants.

They're not formal at all. Well, compared to the sneakers most of your friends probably wear they are, but with the stuff you're wearing they should be fine.

Anyone have any extra slim L shirts from BB and can give me the chest/p2p measurements? Thanks in advance.

Well it's a sport shirt so not ideal with a tie but if you are going to do that look then I can see a really dark green solid or a true purple solid (like the green and purple Wimbledon colors).

You should check out some eg or wwm coats on sale or pre owned, I have one I used in TO and it was perfect but I'm sure its too small for you, anyway you're looking for melton wool mate.

I've been thinking about getting this bag to carry my iPad, work papers, etc. But I'm not sure if its too formal, too expensive for what it is, etc. I wear a lot of black leather. Thanks.

Thats pretty close to the LV taiga camera bag, I had a similar version of that bag, saratov pm iirc, anyway the shape and drop made it personally awkward to carry, I wouldn't recommend it, the bag, and contents, are constantly bouncing off your mid-section while you walk with it, only way to make it stay put is to carry over the shoulder on the hip and under one arm.

if you really want this shape of bag then consider getting one with a top handle.

It's going to be used casually for school 90% of the time, and maybe with a dressier ensemble the rest of the time. My question is are there any pros/cons to black versus brown leather that I'm not considering?

I know leather can get heavy, but I'm almost done school and I'm hoping this will last me into the start of my professional career.

Suggestions for a bag would be nice also. I'm looking for a messenger style, with a padded laptop section, and enough room for 2 inches of binders. I prefer to buy locally in Canada but its not a big issue. My price range maxes out around $200 for the right bag. Right now I'm thinking of this from Danier (havent decided on colour).

http://www.danier.com/leather-accessories-men-briefcases-laptop-bags-337010089-P3836.aspx?lang=en

(P.S. I realize that I'm probably overthinking it, but I'm a student so spending $200 on a new bag is a fairly significant purchase for me)

Bag in link is a briefcase,,, and tbh danier leather isn't that great and that bag seems to be reverse leather w/leather trim, probably won't last as long as you think, but it will depend on the wear and tear its going to receive, if you're going to use it pretty hard then you should consider something like a used or irregular saddleback briefcase on the bay, otherwise I'd keep looking, you'd be surprised how much abuse we put bags/briefcases through.
