I couldn't find a nice set of upscale flip-flops in my size in time and I am panicking now since my only other options are white Adidas low-cut sneakers or black "not so classy" flip-flops at the moment. If the white shoes aren't acceptable then I'd like to know now so I can possibly run out and buy a pair of new shoes ASAP.

Any help is appreciated.

Dude are you going to a wedding or BBQ?

They're a background piece that allow you to be more adventurous with the suit and tie choice. If you wear a patterned shirt and a patterned suit, unless you really know what you're doing, you need to wear a solid tie. And in the case of an interview, your shirt should be very conservative- plain white or plain blue, spread or point collar.

Your suit choice is fine. Conservative tie- navy or burgundy, with a subtle pattern.

If I go with a light blue shirt what color tie would you recommend?

You could do a navy tie.

Please. This obviously calls for bowling shoes. Thanks for playing.

EDIT: 3 posts in 2 years all asking if it is appropriate to wear white shoes.

Still navy or burgundy, both white and blue shirts will go with damn near anything.

I am in the market for basic v-neck undershirts. What color undershirts does everyone wear? I've heard a light grey undershirt will not show through a white poplin dress shirt. Any truth to this?

Is there a thread for fall/winter boots?

I couldn't find one in my search.

Love this watch (birthday present from Mrs Smudge) but not sure that tan is the best colour strap though. Thinking a darker brown, any thoughts / suggestions much appreciated?

Looking for something in the $100 something range.

Incotex sale at gilt, a bit over your budget but worth it.....

I dont like tan colored straps either but yes probably any medium to dark brown would work best for that dial, but theres really lots of choices,,,,, this place is a good value in the 30-100 range of watch straps (then theres a lot of great sites for choices in the 100+ range)

I'm liking this one for that watch,,,,,,

Should I pick these "Wurkin Stiffs" collar stays for the perfect roll or do MC'ers have a better suggestion? Price is not really an issue but I do not need something like sterling silver etc. Just something that will work and give the ideal collar roll.

Just wondering if the collar will stand too erect or have a nice roll with the stays.
Any other recommendations for collar stays from 'X Y Z'?

Anyone? Looking for some collar stays that work without the gimmicky magnet.

gettoasty, I stopped using collar stays a couple of years ago as I found the effect too stiff. If its a natural collar roll you are after, then I reckon you're better off without them tbh.

Not sure how to get the natural roll.

At the moment I only have the plastic ones that come with purchase of the shirt. Would like to wear spread collars etc. and stray away from the OCBD but all my collars have the "flying away" affect sans OCBD collars.
