jacket123123134.jpg

Hello, I saw this picture posted a while ago in the non-sartolialist thread, and I really like the jacket, even though I fear it is way outside of my pricerange.

Is there anyone who know what kind of jacket it is? And where to find one? Been looking for a similar one for å long time.

Thank you :)

Hey, just like basic fit question. I have been looking for a denim jacket, and I have the opportunity to inherit my dad's from the eighties. It seems to fit well in the shoulders, sleeves and chest, but I'm not sure about the length. I know that denim jackets are supposed to be pretty short but I'm not sure how short. So should I buy my own or frugally carry on the legacy? Thanks.

sorry for the shit picture. Off my phone and the lighting is horrible.

I have an opportunity to get a bespoke suit at a reputable shop for ~1000€. They will use Carlos Barbera 150's super.

Worth it at that price right?

Only you can say. There are a lot of bespoke suits out there that are both well made and horribly dowdy. We don't have enough info to judge the quality and haven't seen any pics to comment on the style or fit. So it comes down to this question: Do you love the suits you've seen from this tailor?

If you don't, any amount would be too much.

Problem is that I can't judge their work before I make the purchase.(The deal is actually on groupon ending in a couple hrs)

I called them and even though they had advertised a bespoked suit the guy actually said it would be a MTM so that probably tells something.

http://www.pinstripes.fi/ is their website

Thanks for the answer! I was on the verge of ordering but prolly wont now, had doubts about if it really would be worth the price or not.

Who manufactures Bergdorf Goodman house brand suits? Blue lettering in label, MiI. See tag/heel and nail pattern ID thread for pic.

Just received a blue Borrelli shirt off eBay with plastic buttons uhoh.gif

There is handsewing on the shoulder but nowhere else. Any experience of this?

does anyone have a recommendation for a belt that matches the walnut cliftons? can't find anything quite orangey enough.

$35 to get a blazer let out and $23 for sleeve shortening sound about right?

It's really not necessary that belt and shoes match exactly. I'm not saying that red shoes with green belt is what you ought to be shooting for, but worrying about getting just the right amount of orange in your belt to perfectly match your walnut Cliftons isn't really required. So long as the colors are similar enough to work together harmoniously, you're probably fine. (In fact, some would maintain that such extreme attention to detail can be a negative thing, like spending 10 minutes fussily arranging a pocket square.)

Well, just a thought.

Need a rubber soled chukka for fall/winter.

Herring Strathclyde or Meermin?

vs.

My main problem with the Herrings (who I frankly like to look of more) is that they are made in Portugal by god-knows-who-and-how (Herring "Continental" line). What experience do my esteemed fellow members have with these shoes?

Allen Edmonds do their belts in the same colours as their shoes, including walnut. Though as mentioned above they don't need to match exactly so any mid-brown or orangey-brown belt will probably do.
